etetic Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation organized for scientific research, education, and technology development and transfer. It was established in 1992 as an Arizona Corporation and is governed by a Board of Directors. Zetetic Institute conducts research in a variety of areas such as acousto-optical modulation, precision metrology, high speed imaging using confocal microscopy, high speed imaging with sub-optical wavelength resolution, medical instrumentation, optical data storage, and lithography. High speed imaging using confocal microscopy has a number of applications including biological and medical research and optical biopsies for diagnostic purposes in the medical field. Research areas at Zetetic Institute will expand as funding and staff increase.

Zetetic Institute employs 3 PhD physicists, 1 physicist with an MS degree who also serves an electronic engineering design specialist, a machinist/model builder, a mechanical engineer, and additional support staff.  Combined the technical staff of Zetetic has approximately 100 years of experience providing technical solutions and scientific instrumentation for difficult metrology problems.
